Smoking for Fun
For several years I had been smoking a regular cigarette until recently I was introduced to hookah which is also known as a waterpipe and it is used for smoking on which the smoke is cooled and is filtered by passing through water. The tobacco smoke is known as shisha. Usually hookah is used in the middle east by Arabs. Some of the studies conclude that hookah smoke is safer than tobacco cigarette smoke and usually each hookah session typically last more than 40 minutes and may consists of 50 to 200 inhalations that each ranges from 0.15 to 0.50 liters of smoke. Many of the smokers I know do uses shisha pipe for their regular smoke. Shisha may come on different flavors according to smokers preference.
Bars on some countries may offer hookah for some smoking sessions. The jar located at the bottom of the hookah is filled with water to have the body submerge on a few centimeters. The tobacco is usually placed inside the bowl located at the top of the hookah and then a foil charcoal screen is used with a burning charcoal which is placed on the top portion. When the smoker is ready he inhales through the hose and the air is pulled through the charcoal and into the bowl holding the tobacco, thus producing the smoke. If the hookah has been lighted and the smoked but has not been inhaled for an extended period of time, the smoke inside the jar may be regarded as stale or undesirable.
